Return to Driving Certificate of Professional Competence (HGV)
DMP Training driver CPC course approved by the DVSA:
DMP Training have developed a seven-hour driver CPC course for HGV drivers who want to return to work but whose CPC has expired.
This course allows drivers whose CPC’s have run out by no more than two years but more than 60 days to attend a seven-hour CPC after which a DQC card will be issued with a validation of 12 months.
Within this twelve-month timeframe the driver will need to complete another four courses (28 hours) to get the full 35 hours necessary to retain the qualification.
Aims of the course
- To refresh candidates’ understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Tachographs
- To raise candidate’s awareness of why some road users are more vulnerable than others
- To help make candidates ‘sector’ ready to return to work
- Raise level of competence and understanding in relation to the principles of the safe loading of vehicles
